ऊधमसिंह नगर और देहरादून के खिलाड़ियों का दबदबा
मनोज सरकार स्पोर्ट्स स्टेडियम में राज्य स्तरीय वॉलीबाल प्रतियोगिता जारी है। शनिवार को बालक वर्ग के मुकाबले खेले गए। प्रतियोगिता में ऊधमसिंह नगर, देहरादून, हरिद्वार व रुद्रप्रयाग के खिलाड़ियों का दबदबा रहा। इससे पहले प्रतियोगिता का शुभारंभ जिला विकास प्राधिकरण के उपाध्यक्ष जय किशन ने खिलाड़ियों से परिचय प्राप्त कर किया।
दिन का पहला मैच उधमसिंह नगर व चमोली के मध्य खेला गया। इसमें उधमसिंह नगर ने 2- 0 से जीत हासिल किया। दूसरे मैच में देहरादून ने उत्तरकाशी को 1- 0 से पराजित कर अगले चक्र में प्रवेश किया। तीसरे मैच में देहरादून ने रुद्रप्रयाग को 2-0 से हराया। चौथे मैच में हरिद्वार ने चंपावत 2-1 से पराजित किया। प्रतियोगिता का पांचवां मैच उत्तरकाशी व रुद्रप्रयाग के बीच हुआ जिसमें रुद्रप्रयाग ने 2- 1 से जीत दर्ज की।
टीमों को चार समूहों में विभाजित किया गया है। ग्रुप ए में उधमसिंह नगर, पिथौरागढ़, बागेश्वर एवं चमोली, ग्रुप बी में देहरादून, रुद्रप्रयाग व उत्तरकाशी, ग्रुप सी में हरिद्वार, पौड़ी व चंपावत और ग्रुप डी में नैनीताल, टिहरी एवं अल्मोड़ा की टीम शामिल है। मैचों के निर्णायक सुरेश बिष्ट, गुरतेज सिंह, शैलेंद्र शर्मा, उपेंद्र, शहजाद, विकास, गौरव, रजत कुमार रहे। इस मौके पर ओलंपिक संघ के महासचिव डॉ. डीके सिंह, जिला क्रीड़ाधिकारी जानकी कार्की आदि मौजूद रहे।
