कोहरे की चपेट में पंजाब: अबोहर में घनी धुंध में तीन हादसे

अबोहर में आज पहली घनी धुंध ने दस्तक दी। धुंध इतनी अधिक थी कि सुबह से ही सड़कों पर वाहनों की रफ्तार थमी नजर आई और वाहन रेंगते हुए चलते दिखे। हालात ऐसे रहे कि सुबह करीब 10 बजे तक लोग अपने घरों में ही दुबके रहे। धुंध का सबसे अधिक असर स्कूली बच्चों पर पड़ा। घनी धुंध और ठंड के बीच बच्चे सुबह करीब 8 बजे अपने-अपने घरों से स्कूलों के लिए रवाना हुए। 10 बजे सूर्य निकलने के बाद धुंध छंटी और जनजीवन धीरे-धीरे सामान्य हुआ।
धुंध के कारण अबोहर के गांव तूतां पंजाबां के निकट एक स्कूली वैन और बस के बीच टक्कर हो गई। हादसे में दोनों वाहन मामूली रूप से क्षतिग्रस्त हुए, जबकि स्कूली बच्चे बाल-बाल बच गए, जिससे बड़ा हादसा टल गया।
