अमेरिका और ईरान के बीच चल रहे तनाव का असर अब स्थानीय बाजारों तक पहुंच गया है। व्यावसायिक सिलिंडरों की कमी से जहां एलपीजी भट्ठियां ठंडी पड़ गई थीं, वहीं हलवाइयों ने इसका विकल्प खोजते हुए डीजल से चलने वाली भट्ठियों का इस्तेमाल शुरू कर दिया है। राजधानी में करीब 19 हजार से अधिक व्यावसायिक गैस उपभोक्ता हैं। गैस संकट के बीच सरकार ने घरेलू आपूर्ति को प्राथमिकता देते हुए वाणिज्यिक सिलिंडर की सप्लाई सीमित कर दी। शुरुआती दिनों में पुराने स्टॉक से काम चलता रहा लेकिन सिलिंडर खत्म होने के बाद दुकानदारों को नई व्यवस्था तलाशनी पड़ी।
देहरादून पहुंचीं 24 भट्ठियां
एक प्रमुख मिठाई ब्रांड ने सबसे पहले राजस्थान से डीजल भट्ठी मंगाकर प्रयोग शुरू किया। इसके सफल होने के बाद अब तक 24 से अधिक भट्ठियां शहर की विभिन्न दुकानों में पहुंच चुकी हैं और उनका उपयोग किया जा रहा है। दुकानदारों के अनुसार यह भट्ठियां व्यावसायिक गैस सिलिंडर के मुकाबले किफायती साबित हो रही हैं।
कोयला और लकड़ी का विकल्प भी अपनाया
परंपरागत रूप से हलवाई कोयला और लकड़ी की भट्ठियों का भी उपयोग करते रहे हैं लेकिन इनमें आग नियंत्रित करना मुश्किल होता है। एक बार गर्म होने के बाद इन्हें तुरंत बंद नहीं किया जा सकता जबकि डीजल और गैस भट्ठियां जरूरत के अनुसार आसानी से संचालित की जा सकती हैं।
कम खर्च और कम प्रदूषण का दावा
जानकारी के अनुसार, डीजल भट्ठी को 10–11 घंटे तक चलाने में करीब 20 लीटर डीजल खर्च होता है। मिठाई कारोबारी दलपत सिंह का कहना है कि इसके मुकाबले दो से अधिक गैस सिलिंडर लगते हैं। उनका दावा है कि यह विकल्प न केवल किफायती है, बल्कि अपेक्षाकृत सुरक्षित और कम प्रदूषणकारी भी है।
