पूर्व सीएम भगत सिंह कोश्यारी को आज मिलेगा पद्मभूषण सम्मान
पूर्व सीएम कोश्यारी को आज पद्मभूषण सम्मान से नवाजा जाएगा। वर्ष 1966 में उन्होंने उत्तराखंड के एक सीमावर्ती जिले पिथौरागढ़ में सरस्वती शिशु मंदिर की स्थापना की, जिससे दूरदराज के क्षेत्रों में शिक्षा के अवसरों को मजबूत किया गया।
प्रदेश के पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री व महाराष्ट्र के पूर्व राज्यपाल भगत सिंह कोश्यारी को 25 मई को पद्मभूषण से सम्मानित किया जाएगा। राष्ट्रपति भवन में होने वाले सम्मानित समारोह में राष्ट्रपति द्रौपदी मुर्मु सम्मान प्रदान करेंगी। 17 जून, 1942 को उत्तराखंड के बागेश्वर जिले के पलानधुरा गांव में जन्मे कोश्यारी ने अपनी ग्रामीण पृष्ठभूमि के बावजूद दृढ़ संकल्प के साथ उच्च शिक्षा प्राप्त की और 1964 में आगरा विश्वविद्यालय से संबद्ध अल्मोड़ा कॉलेज से अंग्रेजी साहित्य में स्नातकोत्तर की डिग्री पूरी की।
