मैनेजमैंट द्वारा यूनियन से बातचीत करके मसला हल करने के प्रयास किए जा रहे थे लेकिन यूनियन टैंडर को पूर्ण तौर पर रद्द करने की मांग पर अड़ी रही। इसके बाद मैनेजमैंट द्वारा पत्र जारी करके टैंडर को 28 नवम्बर तक स्थगित कर दिया। टैंडर को रद्द न किए जाने का भी यूनियन द्वारा विरोध जताया गया। इसी क्रम में डिपो-1 व डिपो-2 में यूनियन नेताओं ने मैनेजमैंट के खिलाफ रोष व्यक्ति किया। इस मौके डिपो-1 के चानण सिंह चन्ना, बिक्रमजीत सिंह बिक्का, बलविंदर सिंह व डिपो-2 से दलजीत सिंह जल्लेवाल, प्रधान सतपाल सिंह सत्ता व अन्यों ने कहा कि सरकार ने यदि किलोमीटर स्कीम की बसों का टैंडर पूर्ण तौर पर रद्द नहीं किया तो 28 से हड़ताल की जाएगी। वहीं, यूनियन के प्रदेश महासचिव शमशेर सिंह ने कहा कि मैनेजमैंट द्वारा 19 नवम्बर को मीटिंग दी गई है, इस मीटिंग में विभिन्न मुद्दे रखे जाएंगे। उन्होंने बताया कि कर्मचारियों के 5 प्रतिशत वेतन वृद्धि का पत्र मैनेजमैंट द्वारा जारी किया गया है, इसे अमल में लाने हेतु आगे की प्रक्रिया देखने योग्य होगी।
वक्ताओं ने कहा कि निजी बस कम्पनियों को फायदा पहुंचाने के लिए किलोमीटर स्कीम के तहत टैंडर निकाले जा रहे हैं। इसके विरोध में यूनियन द्वारा बार-बार विरोध किया जा रहा है। उन्होंने कहा कि 28 नवम्बर को टैंडर खोलने की प्रक्रिया आगे बढ़ाई गई तो भारी विरोध होगी। इन फैसलों को किसी सूरत में बर्दाश्त नहीं किया जाएगा। वक्ताओं ने कहा कि 28 नवम्बर के बाद पक्का मोर्चा लगाते हुए चंडीगढ़ में धरना प्रदर्शन शुरू किया जाएगा जोकि मांगों का हल होने तक लगातार जारी रहेगा। उन्होंने कहा कि इसी के अन्तर्गत वह अनिश्चितकालीन हड़ताल करने को मजबूर होंगे।
