मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने सोमवार को अपने निजी आवास नगला तराई स्थित खेत में खुद टिलर चलाकर जुताई की और गोबर की प्राकृतिक खाद डालकर जैविक व पारंपरिक खेती को बढ़ावा देने का संदेश दिया। इस दौरान उनकी माता बिशना देवी भी उनके साथ रहीं।

मुख्यमंत्री ने खेत में श्रम करते हुए किसानों के परिश्रम और कृषि परंपराओं के महत्व को रेखांकित किया। उन्होंने कहा कि खेती केवल आजीविका का माध्यम नहीं, बल्कि भारतीय संस्कृति और ग्रामीण अर्थव्यवस्था की आत्मा है। आधुनिक तकनीक के साथ पारंपरिक और प्राकृतिक खेती को अपनाकर कृषि को अधिक समृद्ध एवं टिकाऊ बनाया जा सकता है।
मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि गोबर की खाद जैसी प्राकृतिक पद्धतियां भूमि की उर्वरता बढ़ाने के साथ-साथ पर्यावरण संरक्षण में भी महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाती हैं। उन्होंने किसानों से रासायनिक उर्वरकों पर निर्भरता कम कर जैविक एवं प्राकृतिक खेती की ओर बढ़ने का आह्वान किया। उन्होंने कहा कि राज्य सरकार किसानों की आय बढ़ाने, कृषि को आधुनिक बनाने और जैविक उत्पादों को प्रोत्साहन देने के लिए निरंतर कार्य कर रही है।
मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि उत्तराखंड की पहचान कृषि, ग्रामीण संस्कृति और प्रकृति से जुड़ी हुई है। राज्य सरकार पारंपरिक खेती, बागवानी, प्राकृतिक कृषि और स्थानीय उत्पादों को बढ़ावा देने के लिए विभिन्न योजनाओं के माध्यम से किसानों को सहायता उपलब्ध करा रही है। उन्होंने कहा कि युवा पीढ़ी को भी खेती और ग्रामीण विकास से जोड़ना समय की आवश्यकता है।
