राजस्थान में पर्यावरण की स्थिति चिंताजनक है। राष्ट्रीय अपराध रिकॉर्ड ब्यूरो (NCRB) की ताजा रिपोर्ट के अनुसार, राजस्थान ने वर्ष 2023 में पर्यावरण से जुड़े अपराधों के मामलों में देश के शीर्ष राज्यों में स्थान बनाया है। राज्य में कुल 7,794 पर्यावरण अपराध दर्ज किए गए, जो तमिलनाडु (41,304), केरल (8,786) और महाराष्ट्र (4,854) के बाद चौथे स्थान पर है। इसमें सबसे ज्यादा मामले ध्वनि प्रदूषण को लेकर दर्ज हैं। ध्वनि प्रदूषण संबंधित अपराधों में राजस्थान देश में दूसरे स्थान पर है। हालांकि संख्या में पिछले साल की तुलना में थोड़ी गिरावट है (2022 में 9,529 मामले), फिर भी राजस्थान का अपराध दर (प्रति लाख जनसंख्या पर) 9.6 है, जो तमिलनाडु (53.7) और केरल (24.5) के बाद तीसरा स्थान रखता है।
ध्वनि प्रदूषण बना मुख्य अपराध
कानून मामले वन और वन संरक्षण अधिनियम में 232 मामले दर्ज , वन्यजीव संरक्षण अधिनियम, 1972 में 181 मामले, वायु और जल प्रदूषण अधिनियम के तहत 1,535 प्रकरण दर्ज तथा ध्वनि प्रदूषण अधिनियम में सर्वाधिक 5,846 (देश में दूसरा स्थान) मामले दर्ज किए गए हैं। 5,846 मामलों के साथ ध्वनि प्रदूषण राजस्थान में पर्यावरण अपराधों का सबसे बड़ा कारण बना हुआ है — केवल तमिलनाडु (41,241 मामले) ही इससे आगे है। विशेषज्ञों का कहना है कि राजस्थान में ध्वनि प्रदूषण के अधिक मामले राज्य के शहरी विस्तार, भारी वाहन यातायात और बार-बार होने वाले धार्मिक/सामाजिक आयोजनों का परिणाम हैं, जहां ध्वनि संबंधित नियमों का अक्सर उल्लंघन किया जाता है।
